sEEG Phase II Processing: Overview & Timeline¶
Shared with the CNT
This procedure runs on infrastructure the lab and the CNT operate together. The CNT manual keeps its own copy; changes to the shared steps are agreed with the CNT.
What this page tells you
Overview of the stereoEEG (phase II) pipeline: CNT collects, processes, and uploads implant patients' EEG so others can use it. Processed and uploaded data are due within one week after the patient is explanted from the EMU.
Introduction¶
The CNT staff and research team collect, process, and upload each implant patient's EEG so that other researchers and clinicians can use it. The processed data must be uploaded within one week after the patient is explanted from the EMU.
Some patients with refractory epilepsy are candidates for stereoEEG, also called an intracranial implant, to better localize the epileptic onset zone. This is phase II of testing. The patient is implanted with depth electrodes, stays in the EMU for about one to two weeks, and has seizures recorded during the stay.
Timeline¶
Each patient's data must be processed correctly and uploaded within one week after explant from the EMU.
