Roles

Every page lists the roles it serves in its front matter (roles: [...]). These are reader roles, not job titles: one person usually holds two or three, and the Lab Manual's Roles in the lab says which reader roles each job (coordinator, research assistant, postdoc, PhD, master's, undergraduate, collaborator) should follow. Use the Map in Role view, or the Tags page, to see what each role needs to know.

pipeline	Pipeline & systems maintainer	Keeps the processing chain, uploads, archives and servers running.
analyst	Trainee / analyst (postdoc, PhD, master's, undergraduate)	Runs analyses: compute environments, software, de-identified data access, the analysis pipelines.
pi-manager	PI / lab manager	Approvals, onboarding and offboarding, IRB, reporting, budgets, storage and PHI rules.
collaborator	External collaborator	Site partners: data sharing, standards, intake, contacts.
